To God Be The Glory

He Hath Done Great Things (1 Corinthians 10:1-31) So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.Don’t give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God. I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved. (1 Corinthians 10:31-33) • Psalm 19:1: "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork." As a person who really loves nature and loves looking to the skies, I would have to agree with (Psalm 19:1) because after looking to the heavens many many times over my life time, I cannot believe how anyone can say that there is not god and creator of the universe, I have looked into the sky with a bright moonlit stary night and watched the stars, watched the planits move in unison across the expanse of the heavens and I see a continuous display of God's powerful creation, a canavas of His majestic power, I see the results of a very skilled, perfect artist that has painted a live picture for us to enjoy. Stop and read verse 2-3 of Psalm 19 and you will see that the skies are a silent wittness, no speach needed, I cannot count the times I have stood and looked at the beauty of God's creation and stood in awe, a calm and inspiring silence as God spoke to and healed my heart. This is what I have experienced in my walk with God, that at times in nature we need no spoken words because there is no human language that can translate it into an understandable paragraph, it just is and it speaks in a language of its own. And that language is there for every tribe and every nation to interprete in their own hearts and minds. It was all created so that all glory would be given to God who made it all. If you will read in our scripture reading today, you will see as believers we are to do all that we do to bring glory to God. verse 31,"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." "Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."(Isaiah 43:7) Yes, God wants every person to worship and glorify Him, listen to (Philippians 2:11)"And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Then turn back to the old testament in (Psalm 72:19) where is proclaims, "Blessed be his glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with his glory! Amen and Amen!" As I wnnt on my first PR (Public Relations Trip for the Battle River Ranch Camp and For the Fellowship Of Christian Farmers Canada this past weekend, I heard and seen the glory of the Lord being proclaimed. first as I looked across the vast prairie skies of Southern Saskatchwan, you must realize the awsomness of a Bog God. My fists stop, seen young men being trained to be men of God, treating each other and others with respect great respect, it was awesome to see, a place where young men can be men and learn to be such without all of the worlds distractions and in the end give God the Glory. My second stop, was at a Bible School, where I found much of the same hospitality and respect, in the assistance I was given in carrying in my materials, finding the place to set up, and a place to lay my head for the night, all done out of selfless intentions and from what I could see, they were doing it to bring glory to God. I was encouraged by the students and how they respected authority and gave reverance to God, in all of what they were doing, they were having fun in serving others and the things of the world did not need to be included. I pray for all of them because once a person leaves a c=sheltered inviroment it becomes harder to stay in the frame of mind of doing all for the glory of God. My last stop, I went to one of the few functions that even happen any more, my wife speaks of such a function often, where a missionary from Africa came to her church and at that function, she heard about missions, and God spoke to here heart and placed a call of her to be a missionary in Africa. God does not call for nothng, when we are willing to listen and obey He will fulfill that call. Tjhats a whole nother story. But this function was a missions Conference where a church brings on missionaries from many organizations a they present what God is doing in and through them in the world where He has called them. There has=d to have been atleast 10 plus missins represented by those who had been called to lead those missions or just called to work with those missions, and it was amazing to watch and listen to the Glory that was being given to God by all involved in a fun and respectful way. From the organizers of the Mission conference to the speaker, who came all the way from Hatie tothe missionaries themselves. What an amazing time I had at this conference, O pray that more churches would consider doing the same, as believers we are called to evangilize the world. Let me finish with the scripture from (Matthew 28:18-20) "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. I would say the main theme of the mission confance was GO, Let Your Little Light Shine, doing all to the Glory of God. Amen
