Death Is Swallowed In Victory
My Soul Soars On Eagles Wings (John 11:1-44 and Isaiah 25) Jesus said to her, “I am lthe resurrection and the life. mHe who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11: 25-26) Our lesson today is from the story of Lazarus being raised from the dead by Jesus. Jesus here demonstrats His power over death as He shows in a number of places in the New Testiment. He raised Jairus’ daughter back to life (Mark 5:21-24, 35-43), then a son of a widow in Nain (Luke 7:11-17), and ten likelt the most known one was Lazarus (John 11:1-44). This prtion shows that Christ not only had power over death, but He had in Him the power to give life. “In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind” (1:4). Jesus death on the cross happened to pay the penilty for sin. Romans says that "the wages of sin is death" So the love of Christ brought Him from heaven to earth to pay that payment for all mank...
