Obey His Law Afresh
Heed God's Instructions Judges 4:1–9 “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one [a]jot or one [b]tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. (Matthew 5:17-18) Through the leadership and example of the judges, Gods people returned to Him, and they began once again to trust Him and obey His law afresh. If Gods people back then could begin anew, the bible tells us, that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, so there for we can take their lead and make the choice to do the same. After all, God will give us the strength to trust and obey Him no matter what may come our way, in these times of trouble. If we take a look at the book of Judges, it builds a bridge between Joshua and the time that Saul was King. (see 1 Samuel 9). It takes us through a time when Israel has fallen away from God.
