IT LASTS FOR EVER Isaiah 40:1-8, A voice says, “Cry out.” And I said, “What shall I cry?” “All people are like grass,i and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. The grass withersj and the flowers fall, because the breathk of the Lord blowsl on them. Surely the people are grass. The grass withers and the flowersm fall, but the wordn of our God endureso forever. Isaiah40:6-8 Isaiah hits a sobering note here in chapter 40. We as humans are like “grass that grows dies and withers away.(v. 7) or like a flower that grows, blooms and then falls to the ground. (v. 8). Yes, he paints a picture of life being the temporary nature of our human existence, as in (James 4:14) Life is but a mist a vapour, these explanations of our life is in contrasts with what the bible says about "the word of God" For it says when we are born again (v. 8).
