YOU PROMISED

You Will Remember Your Promises Psalm 119:49-56 Remember your words to your servant, for you have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. (Psalm 119:49-50) As fathers to our children it is so easy to forget the promises we have made and a way to easy not to carry them out. But God is different, He is God and He does not for get, yet still often as the Psalmest does in the scripture today. HE reminf=ds God of His promises just the same. He says, “Remember your word to your servant,” he wrote, “for you have given me hope” (119:49). How often do we make a promise to our children to give them hope, and then crush that hope by not following through. I am so thankful I don’t have a heavenly Father who is like me, being forgetful. No, we can come to Him not only with our hurts, problems, and disappointments but also in confidence knowing He’s a good Father: “My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life” (v. 50).
