ENTER INTO MY REST
TODAY, SO ONE DAY (Hebrews 4:1-11) Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.w 2 For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.(Hebrews 4:1-2) Hebrews 4:1-11, Yes, we are to rest while here on this earth, God put that in place as He first set Saturday as the earthly day of rest, as the seventh day, as in Genisis, and then changed it To Sunday, in rememberance of Jesus life, death and resurrection, to sve man from His sin.But Hebrews here also talks of another rest, it is that one day, a promise will be fulfilled for believers to enter God's rest,(heaven) a future state of ceasing from earthly labors, God's work, and this is similar also to God resting on the seventh day, because His creating of the earth was finished.
