Although the bible does depict him as a fierce and cruel lion, an adversary that we need to be awat=re of,he is actively at work and opposing any and all of the good we want to do or rather that God wants us to do because if we are doing good for recognition of ourselves, he will not oppose that as much, because it is for selfish reasons we are doing it.
