I Would Of Been Lost

BUT GOD STEPPED IN "Sending Jesus to pay the price for my sin" Psalm 86 "You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in lovel to all who call to you. Hear my prayer, Lord; listen to my cry for mercy. When I am in distress,I call to you, because you answer me. (Psalm 86:5-7) David often speaks of being in great danger at differnet times through out his life. Here is Psalm 86, is one of those times, where an enemy is in the process of trying once again to kill him, in verse (14) "BUT GOD" David turns to God asking to be protected and delivered out of the hands of his enemy. He praises God saying, “There is none like you, Lord; no deeds can compare with yours. . . . For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God” (vv. 8, 10). David tells us that he knows that God hears and answers prayers (vv. 6-7). He being our great example is ready to forgive and always full of love for all who ask for [His] help” (v.5). As believers in Christ, we will have tough times and life at times throws a curve ball at us, catching us off guard, "But God" is faithful and we can put our trust in Him.(v. 4), for He’s “compassionate and gracious . . . , abounding in love and faithfulness” (v. 15). When we face these kinds of situations, we can count on Him, and as David did, call out to Him, “Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; . . . I will glorify your name forever” (vv. 11-12). As children, it is our desire that our Father be in the crowd, no matter what the ocassion, we are always proud when we can say to a friend, my Daddy is here. Whether its a concert, a ball game or a piano recital. If daddy is there all is good. I know that what ever our age, we will always have the tender heart of a child within us, a heart that wants to be seen, heard, and loved by our father. "Father, God" Here in this Psalm, David tells us of our heavenly Father, "God" delights in showing up for that child like heart. David calls out to God in confidence that he knows that God will always be there. For he knows that the love of God will never fail, he is saying, but God never forgets, and He will never leave us alone. For the love of our heavenly Father is always present to comfort and protect. When David had a need, He never hessitated to bring it to God had always been faithful and trustworthy (Psalm 86:1-4). He says,God is “forgiving and good, abounding in love” (v. 5). His words were these, He says, “When I am in distress, I call to you, because you answer me” (v. 7). When we pray, do we pray with expectation, like David did because we have in the past had proven Himself over and iver again. (v. 11). My friends, we too, can trust our heavenly Father to show up because He promises to do so. He is a keeper of proises. We can shout to the Lord, “I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever” (v. 12). Why? "But God" is incomparable, there is no one that can hold a candle to the trust worthiness of my God. "He alone is God" (vv. 8, 10). Father God, I trust and know you will never leave me nor forsake me. You will never change, you are the same yesterday, today and forever. Lord, I want to pray expectantly today, for situations that are out of my hands, but my heart is heavey and I am calling out to you expectantly, for you can soften hearts and make them to desire to forgive and to be forgiven, living at peace with all, as it is possi=ble within them. Lord my prayer is for that forgiveness and reconciliation to take place. Dear Father, please help me trust You because You alone are God! I know you are able. It is in your name I pray, AMEN
