God Came To The Rescue

FROM THE MUD AND THE MIRE From the Depths of the Pit PSALM 40 "I waited patiently for the Lord;And He inclined to me,And heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the Lord." (Psalm 40:1-3) Back in the begining after God created man, Adam the first man and Eve the first woman created from the rib of the man, they were created perfect, but God gave them the ability to choose, write from wrong. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God they choose wrong and what they done is called sin, from the very beginning there was consequences for sin, there was immediate consiquences and there were future consquinces. First God drove them out of the garden, and they were cut off from spending time with God. (Genesis 3:23-24) and now because of thier sin, they would face physical death. God had created them and He had created the garden for them to enjoy, it would now be taken from thier grasp and pain entered in along with loss, grief, worry, and total failure from a human perspective.(vv. 16-19). This is what makes God's rescure so very ,very impotant. God taking His one and only Son, who is God and is perfect, so because the wages of sin could only pe paid by someone who had never sinned, Jesus’ death and resurrection was vital in restoring us, beck into relationship with God. Because of Gods eternal plan, what Christ did on the cross that day, on our behalf was the only way we can be rescued and restored to the To our creator God. In so doing, He has return to us a new Hope and an assurance of a life in heaven forevere. (Romans 8:1-4). I'll be one of the first to tell you, life here on earth is not easy, for it continues to be difficult Life continues to be difficult because the perfect life has been broken by wrong choices that brought sin, into our perfect world. But Jesus death made it possible, when we call out to God, He hears us. And Jesus, will come and rescue us from the pit of sin. The bible adds many other blessings onto the rescued life, it tells me that one day, God “will wipe every tear from our eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain” when we reach Heaven. Sin will be no more. (Revelation 21:4). I want to focus a bit on Psalm 40:2, where God pulls us (him)out of a muddy pit and placing his (our) feet on a solid rock.That rock bing our foundation and a place to plant our feet on solid ground is Jesus. God lifts a person out of a "slimy pit" and out of the "mud and mire". For me, the results are He has put a song of praise in my mouth, which can replace deep trouble and worry,failure to temptstion to sin, to having the power of the Holy Spirit and the stregth to say no to temptation and having victory over sin. As we place our trust in Jesus who grats us safety, in a firm foundation as we gain strength from our God. Do you believe what I have been telling you? God put a plan in motion away back, shortly after mans demise into sin. As you study the bible, you will see that plan being mentioned over and over again. You will see how our heavenly Father loved us so much and that love compelled Him to put into action His plan rescue us from the pit of our sin. If you read from the beginning of the bible, you will not be very far into it and you will find that God had a plan. it was just after Adam and Eve were tempted by the devil and they said yes to the temptation. It was then and there God put a curse on the snake and said, first that He would crawl on His belley forever more. (Genesis 3:14) then God said, "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel” (Genesis 3:15). Verse (15) tells of the spiritual battle between Satan and you and I as the children of God. It speaks of the appointed time God would send His Son, Jesus to die on the cross in payment for our sin and recsue us from the pit of sin, through His Son’s sacrificial death on the cross and His victory of over death and He walked forth from the tomb. God has always wanted to have a relationship wth usm from the very beginning, but from the time Jesus wallked free from the tomb, until now, His plan has been in action, He (GOD) is always ready to save us even before we believed, and were still lost in our sin. So when you are ready to call for help, God is already waiting to hear you call. we needed His help. So today, when ever I feel like I am beginning to sink under a wave of sin, I remember the encouragements I have had to remember that Jesus is our firm foundation and He is always ready to reach down and lift me back on to the solid paved road. Friends, listen, do not be afraid to call out to Him, because He is there to recue you and to retore you, back into fellowship with God. Your sins are already paid for, all you have to do, is walk in faith believing they have been. I heard a radio preacher yesterday say, we do not have to ask for forgiveness, we just have to believe our sin has been forgiven, and ackowlege, what Jesus Christ has already done. By saying thank you Jesus for your forgiveness of my sin, I am sad that I am struggling please help me in this struggle nad help me in my unbelief, that I may walk closer and closer to you, day by day. I have been so happy that we can experience Gods forgiveness simply by believing. Anbd to know without doubt that I AM LOVED by God, enough that He would send His Son to pay the wages of my sin. Heavenly Father, thank You Jesus for lovingly, rescuing me from my sin. AMEN
