Don't Worry, Be Happy

Seek God And His Kingdom Matthew 6: The whole chapter deals with seeking God, but from 25 to the end, it tells us, if we seek Him we do not have to worry about anything because He will look after us, just like He looks after everything He created. But seek first his kingdomm and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:33-34) Ehrn we seek God it turns our worry into praise and the peace of God comes on us. When we shift our focus from daily troubles to focusing more on Him and trusting tht He will take care of us, HE will provide all that we need. Jesus teaches, and I have learned that it is so true, worrying does not add an hour to my life and it does not or will not make me shorter ot taller. It is kind of like the way I thought about time change, it never added to took away any yime from the day, it simply shifted the light from one end of the day to the other end of the day. Some people lked that others did not But it is what it is. Our scripture today remonds me that, no matter what Gods got me. As God feeds the birds and clothes the fields, so He will feed and clothe me. My job, is to faithfully seek Him and His will for my life. To have my eyes on the goal. Because the bible tells me, if I put God's priorities and righteousness first, He promises to take care of everything else. When we commit things to pray, worry gos away and we can rest or sleep as God planned. - (Philippians 4:6) adds that replacing worrysome things with a few words of prayer and thoughts of other is a very big help in kicking worry out the door. When we pray, and stand in the gap for others our thoughts go off of ourselves, and we begin to give God thanks and in so doing we receive God's peace. So I have tried over the years to have prayer as an emmdiate resort rather than stressing over something for a while and then praying. But it seems so easy to stress first. a last resort. If we can learn to pray in the present and count our blessings, we would do a lot less worrying and more of counting our many blssings, working on todays responsibilities and leave tomorrow's worries in God's hands.. The bible tells me that each day carries enough trouble of its own. The topic we are dealing with here today is simply faith compared to worry. or God faith and self-faith. Here the bible give us the salution “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” I find this quite a challenge,to choose and follow the one direction that leads straight to His heart. God wants to be in our heart and He wants us , in His. So when we struggle with worries, we can turn to the word of God and follow the strings of advice that directs us to God’s heart and into His kingdom, following and doing things His ways, coming daily into His presence, thanking Him for providing all we need each and every day. I find it such peace that God will make His presence known in my day as He fights for me day and night and guid me in the resolve of all of the concerns of my heart. God,my dear and loving heavenly Father, please help me not to worry, but to instead pray and to seek your presence in your kingdom today and every day, knowing that Your desire is to meet all my needs all of the time. Especially when
I stop worrying and place my worry or concerns into your capable hands In your name I pray AMEN.
