Wittnesses For Christ

A qualified Wittness Acts 22:1-16 “Then he said: ‘The God of our ancestorsu has chosen you to know his will and to seev the Righteous Onew and to hear words from his mouth. 15 You will be his witnessx to all people of what you have seeny and heard."(Acts 22:14-16) What qualifies you to be a parent, and what qualifies you to be a wittness for Christ? After raising four children of my own, I believe you can lead a horse to water, but its up to them wether they drink it in and retain it or not. We can only do our best with what we know and have learned from our own upbringing. We needed to give our children a reasonto believe what we are teaching them, and showing them that it is truth from the word of God. I know that I learned how to do some of this as I went along, and therefore I made many mistakes, but God is good in helping a fumbling stumbling new father along. That is how we do it, I do not know how fathers and mothers do it, who are not believers, other than their God given instink given to them when He created them. I have seen it in the past where someone who had neer een married tried to give advice on marriage and raising a family, he had never had a wife and had never had children as far as I know. Yet, he took what He believed from the bible and tried to teach it without having any experience. The Apostle Paul was kind of like that, and we have learned much from him, but its better if you have had some real life experiences. It’s likely that Paul had no children. As a new parent, I prefered to learn from someone who had been there and had done it Someone who knows about a collicky baby, sleepless nights, laters on the hailstorms that hit at puberty, then to know what it feels like to pray for one or two who are not doing well spiritually or even have become prodical. But to give credite where credit is due, Paul was able to teach us something here. Saul had been on his way to persecute Christians when Christ intervened. This man fell to the ground, blinded (Acts 9:1-9). Soon he was visited by Ananias, who restored his sight and explained his mission: “The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth. You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard” (22:14-15). Saul, later called Paul, did witness, and God gave him a quiverful of spiritual offspring. His “parenting approach” was to share what he’d seen, and to pray. Well, let me tell you this, whether parenting wittnessing to others, we can’t make them believe, thats not our job. but as, qualified wittnesses we share with our words and with our lives as to what the Lord has done within us and for us. Then we pray. As we pray, God will water and grow that seed according to His will and the obedience in the lives of those we have wittnessed to. I know God sent me, just as He sent Paul into the world, and I also know He sent me with the same instruction, He sent Paul with. Share with them so they will believe. Then place them into the hands of God and continue to teach what you have learned and experienced and let God change them. But what qualifies you to be a wittness for Christ? First, contrary to popular modern thought, you do not need to have your "BRE" or a flawless past. But here is what you do need to qualify, John says, You must be born again, you need a personal relationship with Jesus, andin so doing, you are promised the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit, as the Holy Spirit comes in, you have a desire within you to wittness, which is fueled by the spirit of God. As a new born again believer, you now have the good news, and ot seems you are so full of Joy you just have to share it with someone. And through that living and sharing, others should see a real faith experience and change in your life because of a real faith experience and a growing relationship with Jesus. in order to wittness you need to understand the power you have to be bold to witness with the Spirits assistance, we need to know that its not us, not just our human effort (Acts 1:8). And we need to Know the basic message of God's love, grace and forgiveness for sin, believing that Christ lived upon this earth, died on the cross in your place, dying there abd was buried in the tomb, but three days later He arose from the dead, concoring satan once and for all. That we as believers have vixctory on our side, we know we have already won. Friends, when we share our personal story of how Jesus helped or changed us, How God gave us a love we had never had before, a genuine care and respect for other people, who are lost and dying in their sin and for those who have believed to grow to be more like Christ it has an impact, that God uses, to draw those we wittness to unto Himself Being qualifies, gives us boldness and courage, that is not ours, as we claim it for our own we recognize it comes from God alone. When we are willing to speak up and take action whenever a door opens to do soand we are given the chance to speak. We then do so, without fear of rejection and or refusal. We just do it, because that is what God has asked us to do. So let me ask you this, are you qualified? Who is in your sphere of influence, that you could be using those qualifications on to draw them towards God? Will you be bold and unafraid and share your faith with them? Heavenly Father, make me bold and unafraid, AMEN.
