PRAISE THE LORD

PRAISE YE THE LOTD OF HOSTS Read (Psalm 68) Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth, sing praisej to the Lord, to him who ridesk across the highest heavens, the ancient heavens, who thunders with mighty voice. Proclaim the powern of God, whose majest is over Israel, whose power is in the heavens. You, God, are awesomep in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strengthr to his people. Praise be to God!(Psalm 68:32–35) AS you read (Psalm 68) one cannot help but celebrates God as your protector as be is a mighty warrior who defeat evil before us (vv. 1-2). As the writer of the Psalm takes us back to the words in Exodus 15 were we can see and celebrate how God delivered the Israelite people from Egypt. In Psalm 68, He’s depicted as “[riding] on the clouds” (v. 4) while scattering “his enemies” (v. 1). As you come to the end of the chapter ou find a by victory parade depicting God as King and He is on His throne at His hime in heaven.(v. 18, 35) He is in His sactuary. The Psalm in (vv. 19-35) praises the enthroned God, as we see that we today and as His people back then need to be and are whether we like it or not, are completely dependent on Him. The psalm calls out to God and they, “Summon your power, God; show us your strength, our God, as you have done before” (v. 28). God is all powerful and He is one that displays that power in a gentle way as a warrior who fights for you and for me, and He will continue to fight for justice, one who will lead prisoners in joyful song. (v. 6) He also is the one who will bear with us and will “daily bears our burdens” (v. 19). Relect with me today on How awesome and wonderful our God is, Today, as we reflect on the awesomeness Let us celebrate together His great love for us. For it is beyond our wildest imaginations, that someone would love us, as much as He does. I don't know about you, but this time of year, as I rise early in the morning just as the sun rises in the east, and each morning I am amazed at the wonders of the paintbrush of our creator God As I see the strokes of His hand across the morning sky. Some days its just a sun rise, but other days I stand in awe and just have to go outside to take it all in. In our scriptures today, David expounds on God’s majesty, He says, “Sing to God . . . extol him who rides on the clouds” (v. 4). He speaks very clearly that God fights for us and wins, “May you blow them away like smoke” (v. 2). Then David does a great job discribing God as a gentle Father who has majesty and power vut displays it with intimate love, He says again, “Praise be to the Lord . . . who daily bears our burdens” (v. 19). As he closes off this Psalm, I can see David standing with out stretched arms, as he stands in breathless praise to God, and he exclaims: “You, God, are awesome” (v. 35). Over the years I have spent a lot of time our in nature, walking, riding, camping, and in nature I see the immensity and intimacy of God. I like it that O am able to see pictures of my sisters nature hikes and her camping trips with her husband and children, and how she is able to capture the sheer expanse of the grandure of Gods masterpieces, these vistas speaks personally to my soul as I see that no one but a loving creator could paint and create such a magnificent piece of art work for us to enjoy. For me, these wonders God has created are just sneak peeks in our world that just gives us a glimpse of how big our God really is. we has a chance to see God Himself in the reflections of how awesome He is and the immensity and breathtakingly loving He truely is as we walk with Him. As we think on these things may we let the light of these thoughts, might we look for His reflected beauty around us today. If you look, you will see it, and when you do stop and whisper, a simple thank you to Him and tell Him He is awesome. For our God is an awesomr God, who is always there for us, beside us, follows behinds us and He walk before us. As we are in Him, we are covered and protected, whether we live or die, He will give us the very best. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. Dear God, please help me see Your breathtaking beauty in all that I do today. AMEN
