BE STILL AND THEN MOVE ON
GOD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU
Exodus 14:10–18
"Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. STAND FIRM AND YOU WILL SEE THE DELIVERANCE THE LORD WILL BRING YOU TODAY. The Egyptians (ENEMIES) you see today you will never see again. THE LOED WILL FIGHT FOR YOU; you need only to be still. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites, (GODS PEOPLE) to move on. Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. (Exodus 14:13-16)
Exodus 15:3 says,“The Lord is a warrior”. The idea that God is a warrior is also depicted in Jesus when He comes in fighting for us as well. Even though the landscape of the battle is different, God was fighting a physical battle, Jesus fi=ghts the spiritual battles. The message is still the same, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit the three in one God is a warrior who fights for us. When you study the book of Revelation, you will see Christ put forth as a mighty Warrior who is God and He will defeat evil and establish His kingdom.” So let me encourage you, that when you face temptation, you can rest in the fact that God is there fighting for you.

We, have a defender who passionatly loves us promised and did take our place on the cross. Look at what He did as the Israelites faced Pharaoh’s mighty army came after them, as they were trying to escape out of Egypt, they were afriad and they in that fear cried out to God and God heard them. (Exodus 14:12). And Moses told them that “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (v. 14). And as we know that the scriptures tell us, the horse and riders were drowned in (Exodus 15:1-15) And without any action from the Israelites, their enemies were burried under the waves of the sea as God ended the battle before it even began.
Friends, I know at times it seems like we’re facing the trials that are beyond us, and that we are battling against. Read (Psalm 91:5) know that God is with us (Deuteronomy 31:6) we have to believe He will keep His promise and will never leave us alone. He says in Psalms 46:10, "Be still and know I am God."
Are you facing a battle today, are you weary and worn, iis it tempting to try and fight it on your own? Stip, think for a minute, what would it look like or feel like if you just stopped, become still and trusted God to fight for you? If you will relax in His presence He will fight for you.
Oh, My Lord and my God, forgive me for fighting in my own strength, for beating the air and just flalling my arms for nothing. Lord, help me trust You and watch You fight for me in these times of struggle, thank you Lord, it is in your name I pray AMEN.
