LOVE UNFATHOMABLE
The Incarnatin Of The Son Of God
(John 3: 1-21)
For God so loved the world that he gavex his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:16-18)
It means Jesus became flesh annd dwelt among us. (John1:14)"to make flesh" or "in the flesh") I believe that The Son of God, that God the Son (the second person of the Godhead) became a fleshly, human baby, with a human nature like yours and mine, grew up in a human family and became a human adult man who is Jesus Christ whom we serve today. We believe that Jesus is simultaneously all God and all man. He had both the nature of God are he had the character of a man, both characters working together united in Jesus and those two natures never got mixed up nor did they separated.
The bible tells us of the virgin birth, that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and planted in the body of Mary who was a virgen, meaning she had never slept with a man. This provided the way for Jesus to enter into our world without having sin transfered by our sinful nature.
By Jesus coming in this way He took on human flesh, and experienced the full reality of what we as humans experience minus the sin part. Therefore Jesus had physical needs, like being hungry, getting tired, He had grief and anger, joy, and excitement, yes and even temptations. He was tempted as we are, yet without sin.(Hebrews 4:15)
God's goal was to bridge the gap, between Himself and His creation. To build a bridge that would allow us as imperfect humanity to identify with a perfect God, because Jesus (who is God) experienced our human suffering and our human life style up close. In so doing He was able to relate to us and ultimately provide a path to redemption between an infinite, perfect God and us as imperfect humans.
Jesus, being willing to take on human form, gave us profound dignity in living a physical life It told us that our physical existence and our human body mattered to God very much. To the extent, He would sacrific His one and only Son on the cross to pay the penilty for our sin. Friends, God became man so that we humans could share in God's divine life.
Because we are created by God, and God loved us enough to send Jesus down into the world as a sacrifivce for sin, I believe we all are born with a sense deep down in our being (our souls) there is a God and we are born, with a God awareness empty space in our lives, like something or someone is missing. Because of our sin we have an attachment disorder, to our heavenly Father. Sin came in and gave us that detachment disorder. I always say, then there is the but, if it was\'n for the BUT, we would all be lost. (BUT) For God “so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son” read (John 3:16) slowly and let it sink in. Jesus came to fight our battle against sin for us. He brought light to our dark and dreaty orld. “Light has come into the world” (v. 19).
THe measures God took to build that bridge is unfathomable, Yes, God took drastic measures to show us how much He loved us. As I desired for so long to hear my father say he loved me, so Gods Father-heart beats to hear from us, FATHER, “I love you very much.”
I do not have to ask if you have felt that something or someone is missing in your life, because we all have had that feeling. Hear is the answer to that feeling, if you will respond to God’s drastic action of love for you and believe in Jesus and what He done on the cross for you, you will be saved and that missing peice will be put on and you will be complete. Jesus is the missing peice in your puzzled life. I know that He was the missing piece in my life, and since I came to Him, and He filled that GAP, built the brifdge, my life has been complete.
Prau=y with me today, Dear heavenly Father, thank you for building a brifdge back to you. Today, I want to cross that bridge, by believing I am a sinner, and the penilty for that sin is death, but because of your love, You sent Jesus to pay the price of my sin. HE died in my place on the cross that day. Please come in and be that last piece of the puzzle in my life. Because I love You very much. Thank You for loving me first. On your name I pray AMEN.
