Canada Day 2026

O CANADA (Psalm 72) I need to put this whole Psalm down because today it is my prayer for Canada and for the world As believers we need to start claiming our world for God. In our Anthem is says God keep our LAND GLORious and fee. But before we go there listen to the Prayer of David, as I claim this Psalm for Canada today. Glory and Universality of the Messiah’s Reign "Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son. He will judge Your people with righteousness, And Your poor with justice. The mountains will bring peace to the people, And the little hills, by righteousness. He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor. They shall fear You As long as the sun and moon endure Throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, Like showers that water the earth. In His days the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace. Until the moon is no more. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth. Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him, And His enemies will lick the dust. The kings of Tarshish and of the isles Will bring presents; The kings of Sheba and Seba Will offer gifts. Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him; All nations shall serve Him. The verses above are quoted from the bible from the (NKJV) As we celebrate Canada Day today, as believers in Christ and in the power of God through the Holy Spirit, let us claim Canada and all of our Canadian people For God. We know God rules and that one day, all Knees will bow before Him. Read:(Philippians 2:10-11 and Romans 14:11), which echo the original prophecy in (Isaiah 45:23). So as you sing O Canada today, lets each one of us as believers, claim the prayer from Psalm 72 for our Great Country There are 4 Verses in O Canada if you didn't know, read them and listen, our country is built on grite, sweat and on a deep rooted faith in God. O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all of sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise, The True North, strong and free! From far and wide O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. (Refrain) God keep our land glorious and free! O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. O Canada! Where pines and maples grow. Great prairies spread and lordly rivers flow. How dear to us thy broad domain, From East to Western Sea, Though land of hope for all who toil! (Refrain) Thank you, Canada. We as Canadians are sentimental about our country when we reflect on its long tradition, as each one of us have a long standing faith and we stand on guard in a move of patriotism, as we sing our anthem- "God keep our land glorious and free". As beievers standing on guard for a our country really translates into a spiritual calling from God, to pray for and protect our country spiritually, and try stop it from being demoralized by sin that so easly besets us. As it says in (Hebrews 12:1),it urges us as believers to "lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us." And to stand firm, stand on GUARD FOR GOD. We need to be the prayerful gate keepers to our country. We need to be on the MARCH for the faith our country was built on. "we stand on guard" is a pray to God for protection and guidance in our land, in our country. May we never forget our roots as Canadians. May we stand together as believers today and interceed, believing together and once again claim Canada for God. As you pray for Canada today, pray these verses. Pray for peace, justice, stewardship, and national thanksgiving. Pray for our National Heritage that means so mush to each one of us. For we live in the greatest country in the world, lets not stop and watch it be flushed down the drain. Claim these verses for Canada today. (Psalm 72:8)"He (God) shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth."Note: This verse holds special historical significance in Canada. It is famously engraved on the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill and inspired the original name "Dominion of Canada" I for one did not know this. Wow, it is engraved on Parliment Hill, may our politition look at it and realize the responsibility the yhave to this ggreat country. (Psalm 33:12)"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance. (Proverbs 14:34)"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people." We need this peace in our land so we can once again find Peace-Justice and Leadership, that will come under the authority of the Most High GOD, and lead in a godly manner. (1 Timothy 2:1-2) says,"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. (Psalm 72:1-2) "Endow the king (Prime Minister) with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness. May he judge your people in righteousness, your afflicted ones with justice. (Micah 6:8) "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." WHY- For Thanksgiving and Stewardship in our Land of Canada. (Deuteronomy 8:7-10)"For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land... a land with streams of water, fountains and springs... a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing... When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you." This is a message for those who will recieve their citicenship today, its a good verse for them to remember why they come to Canda in the first place. (Psalm 67:1-2) "May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us— so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. Let me close in a prayer for our great country, Father God, YES: kepp our land. Keep our land glorious and free! Free of corruption, free of libral communisim, free of sin and sadness, I pray for a peace that passes all understanding, and that peace we know can only come from you. Lord, I pray for the salvation of the souls of our country, that we would once again see a contry that is known and a country that is following you sand seeking you for answers to all of our problems. That we would see the control of this country being put back in your hands. Lord we love you and lift up our country to you today. It is in your name I pray AMEN.
