With God All Things Are Possible

I Can Not Do It On My Own (2 Corinthians 11:23–29, Matthew 19:26) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12So then death is working in us, but life in you. (2 Corinthians 4:7-11) Rock is hard, but with the right force it can be broken. If the right vein in the rock is hit at the right place with enough force, it breaks.. I Africa, I watched the builders break down rocks with big hammers for making the foundatu=ion of homes. I'm not sure how many times the yhad to hit the rock before it started to break down, but I know it was quit a few. All I know, it seemed to me, these rocks were extrenemy hard to break. So even though the rocks seemed impossible to break, after enough heavy beatins with a hammer, even the strongest of them seemed to have a breaking point. We as human beings are very similar in charactee. We can seem very strong and can display great strength both physically and mentally and spiritually, and yet after a good number of blows from a fallen world, we can reach a breaking point. In 2 Corinthians 11,Paul talks of some experiences that were to much for him. (vv. 23-29). I often hear my supervisor say, "But God"and she is so right. If it was not for the encouragement God gives through His word and through others we would be brokenn often. God tells us, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul also says, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Earlier in 2 Corinthians, Paul also says, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed” (4:8). Friends when you feel down, always remember we have hope, I have seen some of the strongest children of God exoerience the fact that often this world is too much for them. In those times, these men and women of God have been happy to dependent on the strength of Gods grace and power and through it, finding they could endur. So I'm telling you this morning we can be like Paul, we can embrace our weaknesses and allo God’s power to carry us an make us strong in Him. I cannot relate totally with Paul, I have not had the severe trials Paul faced, but I have faced the trials God knew, that in His strength I could endure them. It says in (1 Corinthians 10:13)"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. Here it is again, if it was not for "But God" stepping in, we would be overcome, so it is never about us, but rather it is about God and His power, that allows us to overcome our temptations over and over and over again and again. To God BE The Glory. Father God, when I feel moments that feel like I an going to be crushed, I call out to you and Father your strength comes and I rest in You. Please help me to fall into your arms and to come humbly before your thrne every time the enemy attacks and I feel like I am going to break Father God, help me to rest in Your strength trusting it will carry me through the ups and downs of life, carrying me through those other wise crushing moments. For it is in Jesus name I pray AMEN.
