TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION

Repent Before It Is Too Late (Jeremiah 17:5-8) Again and again I sent all my servants the prophets to you. They said, “Each of you must turn from your wicked ways and reform your actions; do not follow other gods to serve them. Then you will live in the land I have given to you and your ancestors.” But you have not paid attention or listened to me.(Jeremiah 35:15) For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2) In the old testament the Prophet Jerimiah gives out a warning to those who are unrepentant and those who worship Idols(modern day idols), HE said God would ban them as God's people to Babylon because of thier disobedience. (Jeremiah 25:8-11) God sent loving warning to them many times to repent before it was to late.(35:15) And then He promised that He would bring restoration when they had been disciplined (31:23-28) It was even spelled out to them that God's blessing are so much better for them, hnen His discipline and curses.(Jerimiah 17:5-8) In the book of Psalm 1:1-3, the Psalmist says “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord. . . . They will be like a tree planted by the water” (Jeremiah 17:7-8). But on the other hand - cursed are those who “turn their hearts away from the Lord . . . with no hope for the future” (17:5-6).Also read (Deutorinomy 28). The bible reminds us over and over again that reminds us that our security, stability, faithfulness, and fruitfulness are rooted in our trust in God, not in men. So there is still time to turn to God before it is to late and God anger and discopline comes. I have found in my Christian walk, that the enemy the devil will do everything He can to uproot you and topple you in your faith. The devil may throw everything at you, turn a friend against you, have someone slander you of discredit you, turn family against you when you leasr expect it, and you get broad sided, yet if you remain faithful to your Lord and you have deep roots in the word of God you will survivie. This has been proven true. When life has thrown a curve ball and has gotten chaotic, because of having a strong, unshakeable foundation Gd has kept us standing, a little wind blown and weather beated, but standing. Friends, its is all about weathering the storm and trusting in the Lord and His strength. You may ask, How do I deepen my roots in God and His word? Well here is a few ways I have done it, with the Lords help. Start your day coming before the Lord, acknoledging Him as God, pause and thank Him for another day. I do that as I look out my window and see the beauty of the Lord in my yard, whether its green grass or snow in May, I make myself a cup of coffee, retreat to my office and spend some quiet time in the presence of my God and jot down some of my thought In the silence, I contemplate my God and the day HE is laying out before me. Before the business and the noise begins. When I am faced with a difficult choices, I present them to Him, asking for guidance in those choices. He helps me weigh the pros and cons of the choice. At times then I will bounce the ideas I have off of a trusted friend or my wife and get a feel for the way I shold go.I place myself and my day into His hands and lean on the understanding He gives. I then spend some time in prayer, at time as my desk, or even in my truck as I head for work.. I have found driving is a great place to commune with my Lord. So my Friends, I have experienced that our faith during testing and trials of life can be tough, but God will carry you through. Don't give up, lean in and hold on. As we sink our spiritual roots deep into good furtile soil, Christ and His love will carry us through for we have become “like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit” (Jeremiah 17:8). Jeremiah, warns that those who trust in self and our strength, are “cursed” (v. 5). “That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes.” Instead, “they will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives” (vv. 5-6). It is so much better to trust in God, and to be sustained by His love. With it we will thrive in raging firey trials, even bearing good and spiritual fruit. The bible tells us, they will know us by the fruit we bare. Your root system, how deep is it? Are you rooted in Christ, or are you riited in self and the world system around you? What sustains you and your life and family? What are you doing that will help you you trust Him more during times of trial? Our SAlvation is in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is in Him and in Him alone. Father God, as the world spins out of control, and seamingly falling down around us, God, as the world seems to be in many places buring up, help remind me to place my faith and trust in you who never ever changes but are always the same day in and day out. It is in Your name I pray AMEN.
