Make Sure Everything Is In Order

From Birth To The Grave Death is the destiny of everyone; the living should take this to heart. Ecclesiastes 7:2 Ecclesiastes 7:1-10 In Ecclesiastes (1:1) Often I have in my life time have tried to figure this life out, but really for us a human beings, I have seen we are destined to die, from the time we are born, every day there after is one more day closer to our death. But here,Ecclesiastes tells me, trying to grasp a firm understanding of the meaning of life as a whole is foolishness, it's like trying to take catch the wind in your hand and hold it back. (v. 14). Yet it says for us to pursue wisdom is not pointless. All Chapter 7 is saying is that some paths in life are “better” than others (vv. 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10). But when we take into consideration that when we die physically it is a final even for us physically, we will not continue here on this earth as we know it, any more. (vv. 1-2, 4) But rather than dwelling on that, this chapter goes on to say there are things that are of greater value for us to pursue, such as a life in Christ guided by wisdom instead of foolishness (v. 11). It says, wisdom has values yet death erases the permanence of all that’s valuable in the mind of the world. There is a big but here, when we get to the new testament it offers a satisfing answer to the questions death raises It tells me that Jesus defeated death’s power through His death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:54-57; 2 Timothy 1:10). Thats why believers in Christ are so positive and excited about life, because we have a purpose and goal in life. It takes all of the foolishness out and brings new light to living well in wisdom and guidance by the Holy Spirit. Yes, in Christ life regains meaning in light of eternity. Ecclesiastes 7:2 it is better to go to a house of mourning (a funeral) than going to a house of feasting (a party) a potluck of sorts. Why, because death is the destiny of all people, encouraging the living to take this reality to heart. It also promotes sobering effect, a reflection you might say on the shortness of life and gaining wisdom is so important. We need to prioritize, number one are we ready to meet our Lord, have we begun a relationship wih Him. Have we been reunited with God, we were separated from Him because of our sin, has that relationship been mended. We need to prioritize what matters, and prepare for eternity. The verse encourages facing the reality of death, which helps us realize the brevity of life. I understand that parties and the good life offer temporary pleasure. Yet when it comes to a funeral it turns our focus on the shortness of life and no one know the day or the hour it may be our turn. It forces us to stop and think about our lives and the purpose we are living for. Friends our living should reflect our end goal. We need to live with wisdom and purpose, rather than with a pesimistic view of life. We as believers have something to live for. We need to let our sorrow in lose have a refining effect on our heart. How has loosing someone changed your way of life? Have you gained a deeper satisfaction of life because of it? Or havee you continued down the road of a shallow existance. So my take on this is, we all need to prepare for what is too come. First is receiving forgiveness of sin from Jesus, who died for us and rose again. Everyone dies because death came when the first man, Adam, disobeyed God, and we have followed his ways. But “everyone who belongs to Christ will be given new life” (1 Corinthians 15:22 nlt). Thank You, saving God, for promising that in Christ all who die will be made alive again. Below find a list of other things we should do, in preparation for the day Jesus takes us home. This a proactive process that helps take stress off of family and friends. It will prevent many legal or financial problems. It involves organizing both practical affairs and personal well-being. These steps are critical for ensuring your affairs are handled according to your wishes. Create or Update a Will: Ensure a valid will is in place to determine how your property is distributed. Appoint a trusted person to make decisions on your behalf regarding your finances and health if you become unable to do so. Have a (Living Will) with your preferences for medical care, including resuscitation or palliative care. Leave a list of Important Documents, a file with all key records, including birth certificates, Social Security numbers, insurance policies, and bank account information Document your wishes for cremation or burial to alleviate the emotional burden on family, for me this does not matter, because I personally wilo be gone. So those who are left can decide, and that is what I would tell them Inform family members and doctors about your plans and where your documents are stored. Getting your financial house in order provides peace of mind and security. List All bank accounts, investments, and debts. If you have any money make sure it is growing, including an emergency fund covering 3–6 months of expenses. Ensure life insurance policies and retirement accounts have updated beneficiaries. Research long-term care insurance. . Declutter Physical Space, begin with small, manageable areas to reduce mental fatigue. Develop a good sleep schedule, eat good food, get exercise, even just a short walk a day. Keep good relationships with those close to you. Invest time in relationships that matter. Make sure a trusted person knows where to find, your Will, Power of Attorney. Bank accounts and investment details. Insurance policies (life, home, car). When one has things in order ot truely brings peace of mind, but here in closing, all of these things are important but it your relationship is not right with God all of these other things are secondary, because you will nevr be at peace and or ready to go if it isn't. There will alway be that feeling that something is missing. And there is, in every himan being there is a place made inside of us, that when it is filled we will feel complete, and that is the place for the indwellung of the Holy Spirit. A place for God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, ni man, woman or child shall come onto the Father but through me.(John 14:6) 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Mathew 11:28-30) This is the peace and rest I have been talking about that is the first step to having everything in order. I encourage you, not to be afraid or discouraged, but come to Christ and live an abundent and God filled life until the day He comes to take you home. That is a day, I live for, For me tpo live is Christ and to die is gain.(Philippians 1:21) AMEN
