FIELDS ARE WHITE READY FOR HARVEST
SOWING AD RAPING
(Galatians 5:16-21, Galatians 6:1-10)
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:8-10
Here Paul says that the buisness of sowing and reaping is so very important, and the choices we make in relation to it comes with real consequences. 1 Corinthians 3 says, all of our works will be tested by fire, wnat does not burn up we will recieve rewatds, whatever burns we will suffer loss. (1 Corinthians 3:10-15) Friends , we can protect and guard our precious life as much as we want, but in the end we will be tested to the limits, tribulation will come. But I'm telling you, a life guided by “the flesh” is just us as humans trying to protect what we believe to be ours and we are trying to gratify ourselves. Reads Galations 5:16-21) this type of a life style will lead to “destruction,” whereas a life guided by Christ’s Spirit leads to “eternal life” (6:8) and in Christ we will see an abundant “harvest” (v. 9).
If we would just stop long enough to take a hold of this principle, it would strengthen our stand and move us out of our comfort zones and We would build up our front lines of defence and stop hiding behind our churches as a safe place, and we would have strength, more strength in numbers as followers and believers in Jesus as together we seek to share the gospel as we have been called to do and to “serve one another humbly in love” (5:13). AS we depe d on God, the bible tells us that every action in guided by the Holy Spirit and that matters a lot in the face of opposition. I have been there, and at times the path to sharing the gospel and living like Christ can be exhausting, and results may not be obvious, but God promises His word will not come back void. (Isaiah 55:11) My friends, we can be sure that every effert to share the goslep, God's love with others will be rewarded, when it is done to furthure the gospel snd not to furture and benifit ones self. AS we live in love and in words and lifestyle it will lead to good results that will last for eternity.
I heard the story about a missionary called to minister in a village in the far north, thay obediently went and ibeyed that call, served the people faithfully in that village for 25 years, without a single person coming to the Lord. They left that village and another couple came in and faithfully served that village for another 25 years, at the very end, one old man gave his life to the Lord, and then he died. The missionaties got discouraged and left. A yound man felt called to that village, and obediently went. There had been no wittness for some time in the village. But very soon after he arrived one person came to the Lord, and then another, and anothher, and before he kniw it, there was a thriving church in that village. Many who came to the Lord were contected to the very first missionaries who obediently went to minister to that village. Some plant and others water. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9)
Everone who share the story of Jesus have times of discouragement, when no one seems to be listening. The Paul knew that this is a possibility You see, after he explained to the Galatians the importance of planting and harvesting the gospel, he recognized that a sower may grow tired. So he challenged his listeners not to “become weary in doing good” (Galatians 6:9).
If you have been there and done that and have experienced what I am talking about,I encourage you to keep sowing, and eventually you will reap a harvest. So we should never “give up” (v. 9). I know the message of salvation will not return to us or to God void.
Lord, sometimes I/we grow weary in sharing the gospel, but you are always with us, to guid us and strengthen us. You tell us so, and you are our sure hope, in following your commands to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Please help me to hang in there and keep sowing when a loved one seems disinterested in the gospel. (James 5:16) it is in your name I pray AMEN
