HE HAS RISEN

HE IS NOT HERE "The same power that rolled the stone away is available to us when we face stones that need moving, even today (Mark 16:1-8) "But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him. But go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going 1before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, fas He said to you.” (Mark 16:6-7) In the Easter story, we find three women enter the pictue. As they make their way to the tomb, where Jesus was laid. They have taken spices to put on Jesus body, but as they go, they figure they are facing somewhat of a dilemma.. “Who will roll the stone away?” (v. 3). but upon arrival at the tomb, the dilemma had already been solved. The stone had already been tolled back from the entrance to the tomb. These women couldnt believe their eyes, and they became somewhat frightened and pretty surprized, kind of like we are when something miraculous happens. Why are we surprized when Jesus does what He says He will do for us or for someone else?(v. 8). In the book of Luke He tells us, in the moment "they remembered his words” (Luke 24:8). And Matthew puts in His part of the story,he says: “The women hurried away from the tomb, still somewhat afraid but happy with the in=formation the angle revealed to them at the tomb. As they ran to tell his disciples” (Matthew 28:8). The women tell us, our reactions as we hear, understand and believe that Jesus is nt dead, ,He has risen and is alive yet today. Yes, today, my friends, we have the same power through the indwelling Holy Spirit to roll away any latge stones that are holding us back, they can be rolled away. When we face a mountain of stones in our path, we have the power, we just need to believe that they can be rolled away in Jesus name. rolled the stone away. (1 John 5:14-15, Mark 11:22-24) Based on he belief that Jesus lived among us, was killed on the ctoss as a sacrifice for our sins, paying the price, was buried and rose again the third day, He was seen and wittnessed by many people that it was true, the women at the tomb early in the morning on the first day of the week, were three who first heard and believed, because they were on their way to tell the diciple so. Then after a short period of time, He prepared them for His departure to go back to heaven and prepare a place for us there. John 14:1-4 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.2In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I WILL COME AGAIN and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” So it was He ascended to heaven at that time and because He keeps His promises, He will return as He promised to takr us to that mansion He is preparing. That my friends is our hope, in our eternal destination, this world is not my home, I'm just a passing through. Acts 1:11 and John 14:3. As believers we eagerly await His second coming. It's Like the old sone says "This world is not my home, Somewhere beyond the blue, There's a mansion for me, Somewhere beyond the blue. I am longing to be. I'll see my Saviour's face. And sing of saving grace, Somewhere beyond the blue some day. Oh what a day that will be as we meet loved ones who have gone before, on that meeting in the air. The return of Jesus will bring great relief from a broken and distant world, that offers an eternal future that will allow us to be with Jeus and His people forever more. Where there will be no more death or sickness, no more crying or pain, where we will be in His glory forever more. Father God, thank you for this promise, thank you for this eternal hope In your name I pray AMEN.
