GOOD FRIDAY

LOVE UNLIMITED 1 John 4:7-12 The Bible is a book on love that is unlimited, there is hate in it, but that was the hate the people had for Jesus, hated Him bad enough that they took Him to the cross and hung Him because of that hate.. But what they didn't know is that they were carrying out the plan of God. Because of His great love for us, He sent His one nad only Son to die on the cross to save us from our sins so we would not have to go and spend eternity in Hell. For the Bible tells us, the wages of sin is DEATH, but that the GIFT ODF GOD is eternal life. not thats pure undefiled LOVE of God, given for those who never even loved Him in the beginning. The disciple John was known as the disciple Jesus loved in(John 13:23), and He wrote a lot of scriptures explaining that love to us. John 3:16 - “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son” to save us from our sins (3:16).In one of John’s letters, he uses similar 1 John 4:9-10 - "God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him." This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. (Romans 5:8-10)"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life." Friends it is because of this atoning sacrifice of Jeus who died for our sins and today on Good Friday we remember that great sacrifice. (Romans 5:11) says “we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God” Good Friday, is an appropriate name for it, not good for the sacrifice Jesus choose to make, because His death was aweful, but the reason He was doing it was good He died for the sake of all himanity, because the bible says whoever believed would be forgiven and was promised heaven. Yes, out of Christ’s sacrificial love, He took our sins on Himself and paid the price. :Romans 3:23 The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life."( Romans 6:23) This is why Good Friday is good. And even better good news that three days later He rose from the dead, left the grave and concoured death in victory never to die again, I serve a risen Saviour Listen, it took a cross, three nails and a spear to kill Him,but it was not the cross, the nails nor the spear that kept Him there. Rather it was an agreement between the Father and the Son, where Jesus agreed to step out of heaven and to do his Father’s will, it was His love for sinners like you and me. (1 John 4:10) says this, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins”. Good news Friday, is a friday thay is full of Good News, if only you believe that God loves you and me and wants to have a relationship with us.. My friends, it is because of this great love we are to love one another, and to hate the sin, that love came to wipe away. We are to love all men,women and children, but hate the sin thats committed enough, to lay our lives on the line in love to see them know the truth, so they can be set free. Yes, we’re called to love others (1 John 4:7-11). When we do, we show our love for Jesus who gave His all for us. Dear God, thank You for your great loving sacrifice, that day as you went to the cross and paid for my sins Thank you that you provided a way for me and all mankind to be delivered from the sin that has emprisioned them with heavey chains of burden. Thank you for your love that brought you from heaven to the cross to pay that price of death, so that I might live. In your name I pray AMEN. You.
