UNFAILING LOVE
Let THEM GIVE THANKS
(Psalm 107:1-11, 41-43)
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
2 Let the redeemedh of the Lord tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe,
6 Then they cried outn to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
43 Let the one who is wisek heed these things and ponder the loving deedsl of the Lord.
(Psalm 107:1,2,6,43)
I know as I think of my story, of how God has been so good to me, but often I catch myself telling of all the bad things that has happened to me as well. But in telling some of my trials, I give God the glory for hearing my prayers and delivering me from that trial, and I come through the fire refines as GOLD.
I love sitting around a camp fire in the fall of the year, and looking into a starry sky, as I do, I think of the goodnes of God and how great He is. I think of His great love for me, and how much I have learned to love Him, So I, "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."(1) It would take me a long time to write and or to tell of all of the things God has done in my life, from the time I completely gavr my life to Him and He became the Lord of my life. Oh I have wondered around the wilderness from time to time, but in His great love He hears my call for help and He rescues me, after many bad choices and wandering far from Him , He still loves me.
Over the years I have had many visions, dreams, passions, and I believe a lot of them were in sinct with Gods passions as well. I have seen Him at work through much we have felt God has called us to do. I have seen those I have shared my story with, be receptive, I have seen some now care in the least. But my job is not to change people but to share the gospel with them, and its God's mission to draw and to change them. I am called to be obedient. In dividually that I share with are responsible to responce and make a personal decisiom=n to follow Chrsit. He died on the cross for them, to have their sins forgiven, it is thier choice to believe and accept, its up to them.
The writer of the psalms spoke to the Israelites to “tell their story” of how God redeemed them from their enemies (Psalm 107:2). They“wandered in desert for 40 years, in that time “they were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away” (vv. 4-5). But in thier destress, they called out to Gd and He once again would rescue them. Oh, they rebelled so many times against God, yet He never left them, He always was with them and went before them. Yes, as a loving Father "He disciplined them"(vv. 10-12). Yet every time “they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, . . . he delivered them from their distress” (v. 6). I can say the same in the difficulties I have faced, when I cry out, in His time, God delivers me. Just as the Israelites had much to thsnk God for, so do I. I have many good reasins that I should talk about in thanks giving to God with others. As the Israelites learned, and we can learn also, He has a love that will never let us go.
Let me encourage you today, find a spot in nature, get in among some trees, sit on a high hill and look over the landscape, watch a flowing river or rippling waves on a lake, take opportunities to “ponder the loving deeds of the Lord” toward you (v. 43), and just give thanks to Him, and then tell your own story of His rescue. Don't keep those good things to yourself.
In the mean time and inbwteen time, watch and pray. Asking God as too, who can you share your story with? I am finding people these days are more willing to listen and to learn, because they both see and feel the truths of the bible coming true. These are the last days, and God is begining to reign on this earth.
Read, (Joel 2:28-29, Acts 2:17-18). There is a time coming, I believe in this era and it could even be here now where God's Spirit is poured out upon all people, breaking down traditional barriers of age and gender.As in (sons and daughters" "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit It states that "your sons and daughters will prophesy". It speaks of the spirit of God beginning to move in peoples lives who had been somewhat cool before, and God will open their eyes and the ywill see. It says, "young men will see visions" and "old men will dream dreams," indicating that the reign of God affects all generations, bringing wisdom and new revelations. We are loving in exciting times I understand how it can be scarry for some, but only because you are not living close to God, we need to see and feel that God will protect our souls, and will in the end take us to be with Him.
God promises that if we have raised our family in the ways of the Lord, the bible says, Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. I believe many who will return to God, will be those who have been brought up in the ways of the Lord. A transformation within families, where children are "taught by the Lord," leading to peace and prosperity, and many will be reunited again, if not while on the earth, it will be in the RAOTURE when Christ returns
Heavenly Father, You are so good, and what You’ve done for me is worth telling others about, dear God. Please give me the words and open my mouth to speak about You, as I enter into the the sunset years of my life. I know these can be some of the best years yet, if only I will lean on you and let you lead Please Lord come down and open doors for mt to share of the good things you have done. It is in your name I pray AMEN.
