My God Watches Over Me
My God Goes Before Me
Genesis 24:42 - “And this day I came to the well and said, ‘O Lord God of my master Abraham, if You will now prosper the way in which I go,
Deuteronomy 31:8- The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
AS I am beginning to walk in obedience to God's will for such a time as this in my life, I truely need the affirmation that I am walking in His will, and this morning God is affirming it as I look into His word. The bible tells me, "My God goes before me" this is a promise to me of God's divine guidance, a promise to protect me, and that He will pave the way in preparation for me to step out of my comfort zone again.
(Deuteronomy 31:8) Tells me, God acts as a trailblazer, making a path for me to follow. He has fought some battles already to get me where I am today, and He will continue to fight on my behalf. So I know, as I move forward, God will be with me and I will never fight alone. I can trust God to give me courage against fear and will give me confidence as I walk, eyes wide open into the future before me. God is in control. This message tells me, I can walk into any situation ahead of me, knowing every step is directed and protected by God loving grace.
Yes, this is true, God promises His constant presence, guidance, and protection as we walk according to His will. I trust God to prepare the way ahead, He is my constant companion and will accompany me through every challenge, His hand will be on and in ever thing He has called me to do. Lord, help me know your will, I ask for your wisdom and understanding in every situation.
(Psalm 139:5) I love this verse, it says "You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me" this friends is not just talking about just any old buddy, its talking of the creator of the uniserse, who's hand is upon your activities. It emphasizes God’s intimate knowledge, presence, and protection surrounding me and you on every side. I we as His servants are covered by the God of the past, present, and future His hand is there to guide us, to bless us, and to stop us if we are inclined to go the wrong direction.
I am a firm believer of God’s Omniscience (all-knowing) and omnipresence (everywhere-present), omnipotence (all-powerful)these are things my faith is built on, you take one of these away, and my faith begins to crumble. God is not God without these characteristics. Omniscience tells me my God has complete knowledge of past, present, future, and all possibilities and His omnipresence signifies being fully present in every point of space and time. While at the same time He is all powerful, there is nothing impossible with God. All of thse scriptures are a great comfort to me, because they are a powerful reminder of God’s constant presence, protecting, guiding, and blessing as I in obedience to Him, go into all the world and preach the gospel.
In Acts 1:8, We as believers are instructed to witness in Jerusalem, (local community or family)—before moving to Judea,(our province) and then to Samaria, (our country) and then unto the ends of the earth. (the world that God leads you too. Over the years, I've looked back at my journey, and it is very much like this, as a part of a youth group, my misistry started at home, in youth groyp and at school. Then in different places in our province, then in Canada, then in 2010 off to Africa. Jeruselem, Judea, SAmaria, and to the ends of the earth. I think this is what it will look like for those who are called according to His purpose.
Father God, I pray fpr your continued leading in all that I do in your name, I know you will go before me, you will walk beside me and you will come behind me. You are an awsome God and Father who takes care of your children.. Thank you. It is in Jesus name I pray Amen.
