SUN into DARKNESS, MOOM into BLOOD

BEHOLD, THE COMING OF THE LORD Joel 2:1-32 and Acts 2:17-21 I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.(Acts 2:19-20) In Joel, we see a prophesy of a future time when the power of God will envelope the world. Were that power is goung to come upon all people all over the world, from the young to the old. male or female. But this really comes to reality as Peter quotes Joel in (Acts 2:17-21) during his Pentecost sermon, and spelled out how the nature of God could not let Him not rescue and restore His people who had become lost in sin since they had been created. They had been created perfect, but was given they right to choose, and they had chosen to disobey God. Because of that disobedience they had been separated from God. (Joel 2:28-32). Yes, Peter was using Joel 2 to explain what was happening at that moment in Jeruselem, how it was within the plans God had for His people. (Acts 2:22-24) But there was some of these things that would not be fulfilled until a future date. Because it says, “I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below . . . . The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord” (Acts 2:19-20; see Joel 2:30-31)."THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS day of the LORD" These words speaking of Christ’s return and will fulfill the rest of the prophecy at that time! This prophecy was both for the present and for the future, showing us that God is faithful in keeping His promises to allow us to experience a personel relationship with Him now and have a hope for tomorrow with a bright and glorious future in His presence, as He calls us home. So what we see in Joel and Acts is the fulfilment of this prophecy first at Penticist (Acts 2), which speaks of salvation for people across the glob, who places their faith and trust in God, and it brings HOPE, marking the "last days" Before the second coming of the Lord, both to judgement and blessings in the rescuing of His people. Also, Joel says there will be signs we can watch for, cosmic disturbances—the sun turning to darkness and the moon to blood— telling us of the soon return of the Lord our righteous judge. "The day of the Lord". At that time all, "everyone who calls and have called on the name of the LORD will be saved," all qualifying and having access to God's mercy. This prophecy is amazing, because it moves salvation's access, from the Jews only to the world at large. This spiritual experience is for everyone born.. It offers hope for deliverance from the darkness of sin and hope for the future, even as we may and will go through universal upheaval before the great and glorious day of the Lord. . Friends listen, the fear in these days are real, yes it is being protrayed often as much more then it truely is. But loss of loved ones, loss of our securities and things can be scary and at times very painful. Joel's calling for the people of Judah to repent after devastation by a horde of locusts that destroyed the grain fields, vineyards, gardens, and trees This call is still for us today. Just as he had warned the people then of consequences of their rebellion against God. That warning has also been given to us, through out the scriptures, that we need to be ready for that day, so we do not get left behind. Believe me, God has not abandoned us, just like He had not abandoned them. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He will always be there for you, all you have to do is call out to Him. He will help bring restoration to your soul if you will only placed their trust in Him, He says: “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten” (2:25). Or I will repay you for the trials and the troubles you have gone through. God restored Judah when they turned to Him. God wants to restore you as well. So, in closing, whatever circumstances or trials you’re facing, don't dispare, don't be afraid, just turn to God and trust Him—knowing that He’s “the Lord your God, and that there is no other” (v. 27). He is faithful to help you recover from what was lost and bring you into a relationship with Him. When you turn to Him, you will find Him ready and waiting to recieve you and to love you. Thank you God, for helping me during my resent trials and loss. Help me turn to you more and more in the situations I am facing right now, that I may find my peace and securrity in you. Thank you for making your salvation and restoration available to me and to the world.. It is in your name I pray AMEN
