MY HOPE IS IN YOU MY LORD

 THE LOVE OF GOD OVER FLOWS MY CUP

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,To the soul who seeks Him.It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:22-26

Lamentations at times is a hard book to read, its full of sorrow and crying and yet still, there are nuggets of grace and love of a God who never fails. It speaks of a time when Jerusalem had been destroyed by the Babylonians, and the Jews faced exile and unknown days ahead. (Kind of like we are right now, just ahead of this election we are facing.) The Israelites suffering was overwhelming, 

But God promised them He would look after them in their time of suffering. He would do that because He had such a great love for them. And because of that love they would not be consumed by that suffering but they would come forth victorious. (Lamentations 3:22). His love would go with them, through it all, He would never leave nor forsake them  His covenant love

 “For his mercies never cease” (v. 22). Friends Gods love is without end, it has no limits and He loves His children, those that have been adopted into the family of God. “God fills my cup to overflowing, His love is what keeps me going.  Verse 24 says - “I can gather and give out what’s needed each day because I draw my strength from Him, whose love never runs out.” I like that.

Friends to really feel this love that God has for all of us, we feel it best when we are obedient to God and His word, as we draw near to Him, we have hope, we can be sure of this no matter what the out come of this election on Monday, The love and hope of God will be with us in whatever we will face. Everything is in the hands of God, but we, yes all of uys must do our part.

We must get out and vote to have our say in what is happening in our country, I feel if we don't vote then we have no right to complain. Someone said yesterday, if you don't work you don't eat. I'm saying if you don't vote were just along for the ride and we better just suck it up. This is a democratic country and we have the right to vote, even if it seems it won't make a difference. This time I am hoping it will.

Rather than do like I have done at times over the last years, and spout off what I don't like about the way things are being run. We need to be quiet for the most part, but be willing to speak up when we need to and to stand up when we need to. I ask you today, No matter what, does Gods perfect and complete love give you comfort not in self or in our government, but rather in our God who has the greatest love.

Let me ask you this, do you trust in God's wisdom to rule this country and our world in a way that will bring about His purpose. That He will provide all of our needs according to His good purpose for us. To all who follow Him and is obedient to His commands. Pray this morning and tell God how you feel. Father God you are my hope, my hope is in you and you alone. I continue on and I will watch and wait for your return. It is in your name I pray Amen
